Abstract
Much has been stated about tourist behavior that is sexual the worldwide Southern. These studies cover anything from people who see males’s and women’s intimate sojourn as distinctly various tasks (intercourse versus romance tourism correspondingly) to people who think about intercourse and love tourism as separate of sexed and gendered systems. This work tries to assess this critical part of tourism in Jamaica. The study seeks to assess the perception of local hotel workers and female tourists to the issue of sex and romance tourism through data collection in two phases and using mixed methodology. Findings suggest that while male and hotel that is female have a tendency to see men as trying to find intercourse and females for love, feminine tourists are mostly discrediting the perception that gents and ladies l k for disntictly different things while on holiday. The paper contends that there surely is consequently want to shift the paradigm of sex tourism research to incorporate a wider number of perceptions.
